Edaville is a perfect place to take your kids this summer. Before I start telling you all the features of this amusement park I want to start with what led up to our visit. Before The day we headed out to Edaville I called their customer service to ask a question, I wanted to find out if there was any weight limits on any of their rides. We are a family of bigger people and I just wanted to double check instead of getting up to the ride with my nephew and finding out he had to ride alone and or becoming embarrassed in front of everyone. When I called the lady who answered the phone said “can I help you "then I asked my question and she replied "All that information is listed on our website so you didn’t have to call to ask that” and then she hung up on me, I found this very rude and unprofessional, I had checked there website prior to calling and only saw height listing for the rides. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name but I did email there customer service to let them know about this incident and I have sent three emails thus far and all have gone un replied to. The day that we headed to the park it was sunny but the weather was saying there was a chance of light showers so we decided to go anyways but when we got there after a short amount of time it started pouring and all the rides were not operational, so I talked to someone who told me to head to customer service, when I got there I explained the situation to the young fellow and he then got the manager and told him the situation so they did end up giving us tickets to come back another day when the rides were functioning, although if I had not been a blogger there to do a review they would not have given us tickets to come back and we would have been down $150 for the ticket entrance fees for four people. We ended up heading back to Edaville the following week when the weather was going to be in the high 80s all day. when we got there they directed us to a parking spot in the parking lot that was extremely far away and my handicap mother ended up having to walk a very far length ,when we got to the entrance we noticed that there were several available handicap parking spots. My mother showed her handicap plaque so I know that they knew she was handicapped and should have had us park a lot closer, the parking lot employees were just being lazy in my opinion. Upon entering the park you will notice there is tons of stuff to do there, we first rode the Ferris wheel which was fun because it gives you an aerial view of the entire place. They have over 90 rides for you to enjoy, most of the rides are for very small children so if you have an older child or teenager they probably aren’t going to enjoy themselves as much as your littlest ones would. Thankfully they had several benches where we could sit down and take a break, unfortunately none of them were in the shade so we did end up getting burnt even with sunscreen on. After riding several more rides lunchtime rolled around and we headed to the dockside diner for lunch, I would recommend eating before you come to the park or packing a lunch because their food and drink options are outrageously over priced. It cost over $20 dollars for just two of us to eat, my mom paid $4.50 for a plain hotdog! Later on in the evening we headed into the arcade to have fun gaming, there arcade is on the smaller side with only about 15 games but my nephew still had a blast. The prizes you could redeem your tickets for were all cheap dollar store items that look like they wouldn’t even last the rest of the day, they also didn’t have much choices for prizes as well. They had some lollipops, small stuffed animals, a few light up toys and a few other things. I was disappointed in the gift shop as well because there were not many souvenir items for adults, and there sizes all super small. I checked out there largest size a 3x and it was the size of an xl. All the staff inside the facility were really nice and helpful, in fact while we were walking through Dino land a employee offered to stop and take some family photos for us on our phones. Dino land was one of my favorite things we did, you get to see 24 different kinds of animatronic dinosaurs and their habitats. We all really enjoyed riding the Thomas train, its the most fun way to see everything there is to see. Edaville also has several attractions that are coming soon, such as their pirate adventure land due to open in 2017, they also have bumper boats coming later on this year and Lastly I noticed they have some old shop replicas (the dickens) coming soon. There were plenty of bathrooms, although not fancy they were all clean. We probably won’t visit again soon because the tickets and food cost more than we can afford for a single day out. One of their main attractions is Thomas land, which was my nephews favorite,he enjoyed the play space obstacle course and the rides. They also have a gift shop dedicated to only Thomas related items. All and all we had a really great time.
